Although the total quantity of plant protection machinery is considerable, the structural contradiction has become a weak point in the whole process of agricultural mechanization. This is exactly what Chen Yulin worried about: "There are more than 20 varieties and more than 80 models of domestic plant protection machinery, but the structure is simple, the function is similar, the degree of specialization and serialization is low, and most of them are backpack spray. People work with machines on their backs, which is inefficient and labor-intensive. There is a general phenomenon that one sprayer hits the world. The lack of special plant protection machinery cannot meet the control needs of different crops and different diseases and pests."
The low effective utilization rate of pesticides, serious loss of pesticides, problems of pesticide residues, environmental pollution and personnel poisoning are mainly caused by the backward plant protection machinery and pesticide application technology. As the duration of the Action Plan for Zero Growth in Pesticide Use by 2020 approaches, Chen Yulin is also under pressure: "At present, the average amount of pesticide used per hectare in China is 1/8-1/4 of that in Israel and Japan, and 1/2 of that in the United States and Germany. However, the residue of agricultural products is several times, even dozens of times. At the same time, the effective utilization rate of pesticides in China is only about 36%, and the loss amount is up to 60% - 70%. Most farmers are still used to spraying pesticides with large capacity and thick fog drops, which not only causes waste of pesticides, but also causes excessive pesticide residues, and drug drift is also easy during the application process It causes environmental pollution and poisoning of farmers.
